People,
I've recently bought a CAR-100, and it's ULTIMATE. I paid €30 (approx. £20) for it!!! I found that there was no app to control the car from a pc. (Correct me if I am wrong!)
I've made one, and it is also capable of recording routes.
You may download it at: http://www.cyberbrain.nl/downloads
Please give a reaction if you like the app.
Greetz,
CyberBrain

I will try it tonight. If it works then it would great as I have been looking for an app like this for ages.

me too
I am reminded of this "Car 100 PC software" thread (yours actually jcwhite_uk) but most of the links seem to be dead except for SimCar-100 which provides a virtual CAR-100 on your PC which you can control from you phone just as you would a real CAR-100

A small guide:
- First pair your CAR-100 with your pc
- Depending on your bluetooth application, enable the 'serial port' service for the device named 'CAR100'
- Turn the car off and on again, if the car is correctly paired, you'll see a new serial connection in your bluetooth software. Write down the virtual COM-port number which belongs to this connection
- Turn off the car
- Start the CAR-100 control program
- Click on the " > > > " button, and select the appropriate COM-port
- Click on the "Connect to comport" button
- If you've choosen the correct COM-port, you'll see 'Waiting for car...'
- Turn on the car and wait a few seconds (this may be up to ten seconds)
- If the car is properly connected, the application says 'Bluethooth car speed=2'
Have fun!

Update: You can now drive the car with the arrow keys instead of with the mouse only.
Here are a few screenshots, this is when you start the application:
And when the car is connected:

Folks,
Thanks for your interest in my application. I've put the application on my server again. It's right here: http://www.cyberbrain.nl/car100.zip
It's written in Visual Basic 6 with the standard windows controls, so I expect it to work in Vista, but maybe someone can confirm this?
Bye!

Yo, CyberBrain care to share your program again?
Just chance upon my old SonyEricsson CAR100 and tested it with my old K700i... it is still working fine. Great!
