Yes, I've fallen in love with Windows Mobile. It my take some time to understand, but when you do; nothing compares to it. It's just brilliant, and how you can customise it, is just awesome.

New update suposedly available now:
http://xperiancers.com/2010/0[....]at-www-sonyericsson-comupdate/
"Hello everyone
I wanted to share that we have posted an X2 application update on the regular Sony Ericsson Update site at www.sonyericsson.com/update – this is not the full MR1 software release I mentioned in a previous post but a .cab file that will add stability and improved performance throughout the device. The .cab provides updates to many applications inside X2, several are behind the scenes but make sure to check out the new and improved four-tab dialer.
We really wanted to get some high-quality fixes in your hands as quickly as possible.
Please stay tuned for our first full MR1 software upgrade coming next month. That’s it for now. Aaron
"
I will try this tonight... |

I have now updated my X2 with the 3,5mb .Cab file on SE site
The update takes approximately 10 minutes and I had to reinstall my programs that is running from the storage card - nothing is lost. I have not noticed any difference yet
After the update my unitinformation is:
Programversion (still) R1AA097
Modificationversion R16A
Content Version PA2
Programversion for Radio 6.5.60221
Time to play... |

well i've installed the update and i'm more disapointed than i was before!
for one the new dialer looses the 'smart dial' abilities of the old one
and they have still failed to fix the notification errors! |

Found the phone is generally a lot more stable right now with this new update.
However, have found both before and after the update that both my tomtom and co-pilot won't pick up the gps unless using gps gate. And the new update causes gps gate to crash every half hour or so.
Anyone else's sat nav progs running ok?

After entering phone mode, press the "phone book" symbol, and then press the top of your screen, where you can enter text, then I think you find what your seeking? |

It's not a smart dial.
Smart dial means you just enter a first and second letter/number in
phone dialer and it automatically suggests you names to dial.

But that is exactly what my Xperia X2 does. If you're using the tilewave panel, just hit the phone book icon, and then press the numeric keypad that pops up on the screen. You can enter as many letters, ore numbers you want, and the phone will suggest as you press. |

Okay, I still don't have X2.
Anyway I was referring to DialPad, not panel.
Also the new .cab update from SE changes the dialer and
I saw on the video how it works.

It does the same ting when you enter via dial-pad, but there you have to go to the phone book to activate the smart dial. |
